Art is Magical
I grew up surrounded by art, much of it inspired by my dad, who primarily worked with Prismacolor coloured pencils. Some of my earliest memories are of being completely captivated by the work of Jonathan Earl Bowser. I honestly have no idea how I first discovered his art — all I know is that it happened sometime during the AOL era. Saying that out loud definitely makes me feel a little old.
The earliest piece of my own artwork that I still have dates back to around 2013. Anything older was likely lost over the years through moves and storage units, which feels bittersweet in hindsight.
As life became busier and adulthood settled in, art naturally had to take a back seat at times. But creativity has never really left me. I continue to make space for it whenever I can, carving out moments to create, explore, and reconnect with the part of myself that has always loved making art.
